The book “Tell Me About Home” is a photographic narrative about migration, home, and identity. It focuses on five women who emigrated from the Ural region as adults to build new lives in Germany.
The project brings together portraits, photographs of living spaces, and mementoes they brought with them – along with the women’s personal stories – in two languages, German and Russian. “Tell Me About Home” creates space for individual migration experiences and highlights diverse perspectives on identity and belonging.
The personal stories invite readers to reflect on origin, self-determination, and integration. The documentary and biographical approach is underscored by the book’s handcrafted quality, from thread stitching to hot foil stamping on the velour cover.
