This photobook combines a large collection of images from Russia taken during my growing up in Russia with the messages from my mother and my sister after a political conflict tore my little family apart. Nostalgic with a subtle hint of hope that it will get better, the book shows you how the conflict didn't just appear out of nowhere – it had been looming over us for quite some time.
The book is handcrafted from stitches to cover and showcases my teenage time photography alongside some more recent pictures.
